Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute tool and process trials for IOL machining.
  • Perform optical and surface metrology using interferometers and profilometers.
  • Support customers and internal teams by diagnosing machining challenges.
  • Conduct process capability studies and validation trials.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for machining processes and metrology.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of trials and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with R&D for tool and process improvements.
  • Work with Sales and Production teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs.
  • Participate in customer visits, on-site trials, training, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Experience in CNC machining and ultra-precision ophthalmic machining.
  • Experience with Precitech, Sterling Ultra Precision, Schneider, REM Vision tech or similar platforms.
  • Experience conducting tool trials and optimizing machining parameters.
  • Strong ability to analyze and improve machining processes.
  • Experience with diamond turning machines.
  • Skilled in SOP creation and process validation.
  • Strong optical metrology knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to travel for customer support and trials.
