Responsibilities
- Plan and execute tool and process trials for IOL machining.
- Perform optical and surface metrology using interferometers and profilometers.
- Support customers and internal teams by diagnosing machining challenges.
- Conduct process capability studies and validation trials.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for machining processes and metrology.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of trials and outcomes.
- Collaborate with R&D for tool and process improvements.
- Work with Sales and Production teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs.
- Participate in customer visits, on-site trials, training, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Experience in CNC machining and ultra-precision ophthalmic machining.
- Experience with Precitech, Sterling Ultra Precision, Schneider, REM Vision tech or similar platforms.
- Experience conducting tool trials and optimizing machining parameters.
- Strong ability to analyze and improve machining processes.
- Experience with diamond turning machines.
- Skilled in SOP creation and process validation.
- Strong optical metrology knowledge.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer support and trials.
